Aitken Spence bags inaugural Presidential Tourism Awards for travel sector
Aitken Spence Travels bagged the two main travel awards at the inaugural Presidential Awards for Travel and Tourism Excellence for 2007 held at the Presidential Secretariat. The company won the awards for the Best Destination Management Company and the best Professional Conference Organization (PCO) competing with all other major industry operators.

 We are the first destination management company to receive the prestigious ISO 9002 quality certificate. This certificate ensures that we are able to provide a more superior, efficient and friendly service to tourists. The certificate was from SGS Lanka Ltd., part of the leading global certification body.
PATA Gold Award - Best Consumer Travel Brochure
 We have won the PATA Gold Award for the ‘Best Consumer Travel Brochure’ for our ‘Special Interest Tours Brochure’. This brochure features special interest tours related to Nature, Eco, Soft Adventure and Bird watching.
PATA Gold Award - Training and Education
We have won the PATA Gold Award for 'Training and Education'. It is the first time any destination management company in Sri Lanka has won a PATA gold in this category.
